The doc and Makefile.mpw contain some non-ASCII characters.
They are what Apple chose to use instead of two standard Makefile
meta-characters (0xc4 = colon, 0xb6 = backslash) ...

Bare minimum resource definitions can also be in the plain text format
(as I've done for ext-mac archives and [T]), so all the files needed
are now network- and archiver-safe.
