Fs98 Retro Panel Preview ======================== Or should I call it the ode to FS4???? Well, some of you might remember the hey days of FS flying? Some might not. This upcoming panel is a reflection of what used to be. After discovering an old copy of FS4 and installing it (just to see what it was once like), I discovered it actually didn't run any smoother on my pentium 2, and in fact there was so much screen flicker due to the speed of the processor that it just about sent me into spasms. Then it dawned on me, a project, totally off the wall, and equally as geeky (hey there's a bit of geek in all of us-lets call it the 15 mins of geekiness)... A retro look at FS with fully functional panels and aircraft. Right now I'm working on the panel, and I would be interested to know if anyone might take on the challenge of using FSFS to create an FS98 aircraft based off the old FS4 design. (I'm sure it would be easy). Also if anyone knows how to record and convert pc speaker files to a WAV file it be very interested to know. For now enjoy the preview, and remember, FS has come a long way since 1979. Expect the release date either sometime in the near future or on the 20th year anniversary of FS. Bruce Artwick - we salute you!
