TURN ON WORD WRAP ----------------- TAT AIRPORT WAYNOKA ------------------- By Kristopher Crook This scenery replicates the former Transcontinental Air Transport field at Waynoka, Oklahoma circa 1929. TAT was the forerunner of today's Trans World Airlines and operated this airport as part of its early air-rail service during 1929. The Stock Market crash killed TAT only months after it took to the air, which forced a merger with Western Air Express to form TWA. Charles Lindbergh mapped the route that TAT flew from New York to Los Angeles. Amelia Earhart was also a TAT promoter. Very little of the TAT airport at Waynoka exists today. INSTALLATION ------------ In the main scenery directory of FS98, create a new folder for the files (I call it WAY, but you can use whatever you'd like), within that folder create two other new folders entitles "scenery" and "texture", unzip all .bgl files into "scenery" and the rest (excluding this file and the MS Word files) into "texture"...Launch FS98 and go into the "Scenery Library" mode. Under "Add Files", create a path to the new scenery, you can set it up anyway you wish, but mine is as follows: =:\=\SCENERY\WAY\SCENERY\*.BGL After creating that path, hit "OK" and exit the Library. Then, you should see the location "TAT Ramp" under "Scenery from FS 6.0 or Earlier" - just go there and you should find yourself in front of the treminal at Waynoka - enjoy! IN CASE YOU DIDN'T READ THE WORD DOCUMENTS ------------------------------------------ IMPORTANT FREQUENCIES: NDB - 630 Radio - 120.00 REQUIREMENTS ------------ In order to enjoy the scenery as it was built, you need to have the following files already installed: - Standard textures from Airport V2.02 (or higher) - Standard textures from VOD - VOD 2.7 textures All of these files can be found at either Flightsim.com or IUP.
