O.K. that's it, now just close all folders and start Flight Simulator 98 as normal and select the aircraft like any other aircraft, you should see it listed as Concorde BA Firstsim98. You can select a Concorde video, but remember to select Concorde first or you will be flying Over Speed in any other aircraft. You can also use Select Flight, and choose Concorde Chicago, for a nice approach into Chicargo O'Hare. Note: Because of the number of gauges involved in the panel, you will find that it takes quite a long time for menus to appear, and they can also be slow, this is normal so please just be patient. When flying you will find that frame rates should be o.k. Keep the original Contr498.zip file safe in case you need to re-install it at a later date. You can delete the Contr498 folder that you un-zipped to save disk space, but not the one you copied to Flight Simulator 98 Aircraft folder, you can also delete the 41 .GAU files from the Contr498 folder but not the one's you copied to Flight Simulator 98 Gauges folder, and you can delete the InfoReadMe folder as well. Note: After selecting Concorde select 'Checklists' for detailed information on flying the aircraft. General Flight Envelope : Applies to this sim only; Takeoff Speed : 220 kts Gear up speed : 230 kts Gear down speed : 190 kts Vizor up at : 250 kts Vizor down speed : 250 kts Climb Speed : 400 kts to 28.000 ft Mack Speed : 1.7 mach 28.500 ft to 43.000 ft Mack Cruise : 2.02 mach at 50.300 to 58.000 ft Max Mach Speed : 2.04 mach at 50.300 to 58.000 ft Descent Speed : 400 kts at 58.000 to 10.000 ft Descent Speed : 250 kts below 10.000 ft Approach Speed : 190 kts Touchdown Speed : 170 kts Engine Flameout : 60.000 feet The panel is best used in FULL SCREEN resolution, 800 x 600 as it will distort in lower resolutions. I use a 3D STB AGP video card and have found that it requires that Filture Texturemaps need to be turned off, also with this card do not select 8 Bit Image Textures, as it will lock-up. See the Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 ReadMe.txt for more info on this subject. Occasionly the panel can get missaligned, e.g. you click on a gauge but move the screen by accident, to reslove this problem if you can not drag it back into the correct place, select another aircraft then reselect Concorde again and the panel will be displayed correctly.
