Rinas (LATI) is the main airport at Tirana, Albania





*** Version 2.5 adds fencing built by NATO and related textures,

as well as corrected altitude (THANKS,Noël!) ***



Albania is one of the poorest countries in Europe. Already politically unstable and now feeling the crush of refugees fleeing civil war in Kosovo province. This airfiels is being used as a staging area for NATO forces in their "conflict" with Yugoslovia.



This airstrip was recently renovated by a German company, which included new electrical

and runway lighting systems as well as a major strengthening of its main runway.

It hosted the NATO Allied Forces Southern Europe Exercise Cooperative Assembly 98 in 

August of 1998.

line the roadway.

v2.0 Fresh update with proper elevation info, adjusted textures and more 

realistic tree placement.

v2.5 Added fencing placed by NATO in Apr. 99, corrected altitude yet again due to incorrect

data.
