Tupolev Tu-154 Panel Version 2.0 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 by Matthias Lieberecht Lieberecht@cw-net.de August 15, 1999 Thank you for download this panel. This update has nothing from my first Tu-154 Panel. I have completely reworked the Panel-Bitmap, which is much clearer now and add a lot of new Gauges. Now all Gauges are placed and work like in the real Tu-154. Don't wonder about the many Altimeters because this is realistic. The Tu-154 contents a lot of them. Together with the Navigator Panel and Flight Engineers Panel I've counted more than 10 Altimeters in this Aircraft. Vertical Speed, Altimeter, Radioalt and Airspeed are metric Gauges but you will recognise that there are also two western style altimeters below the Radioalt. The original Tu-154 has them too. The Flight Engineers Panel is an exact copy of the real one. All Gauges you will find there are placed like in the Tu-154. The right Panel is placed right beside the Panel you can see in the main window. Nearly all switches and warning lights on the main panel have working functions. To know what which Gauge is placed for, take a look at the file Instructions.jpg and read the Instructions below. At the moment I've just designed the panel with Latin letters. But I'm going to create a separate Version in Cyrillic letters, which will be an update for this panel. Note: I couldn't test the panel with the monster 3D-card. So I don't know if it works correct with it. Sorry :-( Installation: You need to have installed Flight Simulator FS98 Converter. Unzip the gauges.zip to your Flightsim main Gauges directory. If you already have some of the gauges you don't need to delete them. They should be the same. Unzip the Panel.zip and replace the panel.cfg file to the panel folder of your favourite aircraft. For more reality use a Tupolev Tu-154. Unzip click.wav into the sound directory of FS98 (not into the sound directory of your aircraft!). Some of the required gauge files are shipped with FS98. If you renamed or deleted one of these original files you could send me an Email with a short description, which instrument not correct work. I will send you another config and gauge file. Instructions: Most of the Info you need could be found in the Jpeg File Instructions.jpg. When you shut down the engines with the fuel pumps below the N2 Gauges, you will recognise that the Engine Status lights goes out and the Oil Warning lights turned on. These are the warning lights left beside the Airspeed. To start the engine it is important to switch on the fuel pumps before using the ignition switches. If you have switched on the pumps (the lights turns off) the Oil lights turn off and then the Engine Status lights turn on. Do not start before these lights are on otherwise the engines have not enough power for take off. Another important thing is the Auto-arm/Auto-deploy Spoiler. This Gauge will automatically deploy the spoilers when the aircraft touches down. Don't arm the spoilers when on ground. You can see the status of your spoiler when take a look at the Spoiler Light left beside the Yaw switch. You could not take off, when the spoilers are armed or set. Use the # key to put in the spoilers. Now it's time that you take a look at the Instructions.jpg! Credits: I would like to thank: Andrei Pechenkin for the Tu-154 photo's.
