You can convert one publication at a time or batch convert a group of publications at once. The Converter for Microsoft Publisher does not support publications written in double-byte Asian languages, such as Japanese. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS -- Adobe PageMaker 6.52 or Adobe PageMaker 6.52 Tryout for Windows 95 and Windows NT -- Adobe Acrobat 3.0 or later for Windows (to read the User Guide) The Converter for Microsoft Publisher is not compatible with Microsoft Publisher 98 publications. HANDLING NOTES After downloading a ".exe" file in Windows, double-click on the ".exe" file to access the file's contents. INSTALLATION NOTES To install the Converter for Microsoft Publisher: 1. Exit from all applications and turn off all virus-protection software. 2. Drag the Converter for Microsoft Publisher folder (Mspconv) to a desired location on the hard disk. For Technical Support contact information is included with PageMaker 6.5. The Converter for Microsoft Publisher is not compatible with Microsoft Publisher 98 publications. If you use (or upgrade to) Microsoft Publisher 98, you cannot convert Publisher 98 publications to PageMaker 6.52 publications using the Converter for Microsoft Publisher. This archive contains a 14-page User Guide in Adobe Portable Document Format. The User Guide (Mspconv.pdf) provides details on using the Converter for Microsoft Publisher. To view this User Guide, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Exchange 3.0 or later or Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or later. Acrobat Reader 3.0 is included on the PageMaker 6.5 CD-ROM. The amount of time it takes to convert a publication depends on your computer configuration, network activity, and on the size and complexity of the publication.
