(408-761-6200, http://www.aladdinsys.com/) to access the file's contents. StuffIt Expander is available as a freeware product. INSTALLATION NOTES Installing AdobePS 8.7 overwrites any previous version of AdobePS but does not overwrite other printer drivers (such as LaserWriter or PSPrinter). To install AdobePS 8.7: 1. Download the AdobePS setup files to your hard disk, or insert the installation disk or CD-ROM into the appropriate drive. 2. Double-click the Installer icon. 3. In the Installer, click Continue and then click Accept to accept the licensing agreement. 4. Select Easy Install, which installs the following items: - AdobePS - PrintingLib - Adobe Printing Library - AdobePS Read Me file (this document) - AdobePS License Agreement file - Printer Descriptions folder, containing three AdobePS extensions (DXTNs): Custom Page, Virtual Printer, and Watermark. ( This folder contains no PPD files.) Note: If you obtained AdobePS from a printer manufacturer, the Easy Install option may install other files. ADDITIONAL NOTES To print documents on a PostScript printer using AdobePS 8.7, you need a PPD file for the printer. PPD files contain information about the available memory and features (such as paper size and ROM-resident fonts) of the printer. Printer manufacturers develop and distribute PPD files for their printers and usually include the appropriate PPD file on a disk with the printer. If you need the appropriate PPD file for a printer, contact the printer manufacturer. Adobe also distributes many PPD files as a courtesy, so you can also check Adobe's Web site at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html.
