This directory contains a variety of TEI related materials, as used by
the Oxford Text Archive.

For information about the TEI in general, please subscribe to the TEI-L
listserve at UICVM. You can do this by sending mail to 
   listserv@uicvm.uic.edu 
containing as its only line the message
   SUBSCRIBE TEI-L Your Real Name

The TEI now has a Web page at http://www.uic.edu/orgs/tei.

The Oxford Text Archive uses a simplified version of
the TEI document type definition called ota.dtd. During 1995, 
texts will be converted to use the new TEI "Lite" dtd, which is
fully TEI-conformant. The TEI Lite dtd itself is available
here in the dtd directory, and a tutorial introducing it
is also available as document teiu5 in the doc directory.
