The general rules for the /pub/pictures part of ftp.sunet.se are as follows:

If you do not see any explicit copyright statement associated with the picture, then we do not know the status.
If you want to reuse a picture publicly you should contact the copyright owner. Information on who this actually is may or may not be available in the textfile associated with the picture, if one exists.
We (SUNET) do not hold copyright for any of the pictures.
