(Troubles of Middle Earth) 2.1.2 for the Macintosh ----------------------------------------------------------- tome212-mac-68k.sea.bin - 68020+ or PPC, System 7.0? -- OS X Classic environment tome212-mac-ppc.sea.bin - PPC, System 7.1.2? -- OS X Classic environment tome212-mac-osx.sea.bin - PPC, System 8.6 -- 9.2.x -- 10.2.x, not requiring Classic on OS X. Compiled from the stock source, with some (not all) bug fixes I did for Angband CVS for the Macintosh support files. CAVEATS Due to my laziness, I used an old version of CodeWarrior, whose standard C library is known to be slightly incompatible with the latest version of Mac OS X -- it has worked for me, though. Because Lua allocates memory on the fly, and T.o.M.E. makes excessive use of it, I'm not sure about its real memory requirement. I set it to 16 Meg (it uses about 8 Meg w/o graphics and sound right after launching, and I applied usual times two rule), meaning it really doesn't work on most 68K installations. Please up it a bit (File-Get Info-Memory in Finder) if it crashes from memory exhaustion. Because Lua (again) uses malloc() to allocate memory, the game *will* exhibit poor memory performance under Sys 7 and earlier versions of OS 8. Please don't blame me for that, neither T.o.M.E. developers -- V and Z are also using it. // pelpel (pelpel@zak.att.ne.jp)
