05-03-2002 Unangband 0.4.9g Bugfix release - Fixed bug where no 'wandering' monsters were generated in dungeons without set monster types. - Made it so that defeating a quest monster on the deepest level of a dungeon created stairs leading you to the surface, and no stairs created on any other level by a quest monster (Suggested by David B). - Fixed bug with scrolls of Opening having wrong effect. - Fixed bug with scrolls of Read magic not having any effect. - Fixed bug where bows always wielded to belt slot first (Reported by Sean Lester). - Make bards actually hold songs like they're supposed to. - Correctly compute spell power for all spells now. - You will only brand a single item, or up to 5 arrows/shots/ bolts in a pile when you do branding of various kinds. - Gave wand specialists much better chance to activate wands, staff specialists staffs, ring specialists rings and so forth. - Fixed bugs with cancelling out of spells and item effects. - Now takes into account staff to hit and damage bonuses when pricing. - Made battle levels work a lot better. (Had to increase the maximum limit on number of monsters though). - Removed escorts from the high animal and insect uniques, but added summon kind (Otherwise they turn up on battlefields). - Made potions of salt water a little more 'fun'. - Added another food type (Pint of Orcish spirits). - Fixed non-working effects for potions of Water, Apple Juice and Slime Mold Juice. - Fixed bug with chasms causes software bug. - Fixed bug with chasms causing very few monsters to be generated on a level. - Added towers to campaign mode that have fixed floor plans and have to be climbed to be defeated. - Modified levels in campaign mode and tidied up appearance of a number of levels further. - Missed out a whole lot of important scroll definitions in s_info.txt (Reported by David B). - Made wield slot and belt slot stack items if appropriate (Suggested by Kieron Dunbar). - Allowed you to items carried in wield slot if you had not enabled the belt slot option.
